A contestant, seven-year-old Chelsea, performed Alicia Keys’ “Girl On Fire” on the singing competition show The Voice Kids. Chelsea made an excellent decision by participating, leading the coaches to invite her to continue on their respective teams. Two of the three judges turned their chairs and pressed the red button as soon as the first chords began. The third judge quickly focused their attention on the young girl.
It all feels like a dream. We all recognize this song from the way this three-year-old girl performs it. She sings with a confidence and precision that makes it seem like she has been honing her skills for years. It’s astonishing to see such talent in someone so young. Perhaps we are witnessing the beginning of a star’s career.
Either way, it’s a moving sight to behold. At the end of the song, two of the judges, clearly impressed by Chelsea’s skills, got down on one knee in admiration.
